Busuu is a great web in which you can learn a lot of languages in a funny way. Using a platform similar to any social net (in fact, you can “busuu” with Facebook and with Twitter) you meet lots of people interested in sharing their knowledge of different languages and willing to teach and eager to learn what other users may teach them.

By means of interchanging exercises of every kind, chatting or being ready to correct you busuu-friends’ mistakes you improve the knowledge of your own language while you help them to learn Spanish and they will teach you English, Italian, French, German… at the same time.

It is very easy to use and, what is better, IT IS FREE! But if you want to improve your English or any other language much faster and are ready to pay a small amount of money monthly, there is a Premium licence which gives you many more chances to learn.

Apart from all this, Busuu founders are very interested in endangered languages. That funny name, Busuu, is the name of an African language spoken by only 8 people in Cameroon and their project of rescuing the Silbo Gomero was officially accepted by the UNESCO in 2008, International Year of Languages.

The work Busuu founders have done has also received the European Language Label for their innovative project and they have decided to donate the 1500 € prize to an NGO, CAPEC (Cameroon Association for the Protection and Education of the Child) so that they may build a school in the area where Busuu is spoken.
